Meet the founder
Lois Graveline
Driven by a lifetime of dedication & passion for positive change.
I have lived a life and have enjoyed a 3+ decade career embracing the many faces of philanthropy. From my work with local health and social services charities to the many challenging dimensions of raising money for national and international organizations, all of these experiences have blessed me with a deep sense of gratitude followed by a steadfast determination to make things better.
My goal in creating PhilEx is to strategically and systematically shine the spotlight on charities who often go overlooked yet nonetheless are doing remarkable and high-impact work in their communities.
And at the end of the day, it’s about making ‘my dash’ – that seemingly insignificant symbol between one’s date of birth and the date of one’s passing – as meaningful as possible. My approach is rooted in celebrating what we choose to accomplish during that time, and how it benefits something or someone outside of ourselves.
My hope is that we take this journey together to “make a life” for others.
